Q-Time is Queerwell’s brand new live digital mental health and wellbeing programme for LGBTQ+ adults (18+) across the UK - part-founded by The Community Fund. This project is based on the belief that we all need to make quality time to restore and ensure our mental health.
Each session will be facilitated by qualified, LGBTQ+-affirming therapists, coaches, and wellbeing practitioners. Sessions will include a mix of psycho-educational wellbeing workshops, guided mindfulness, and grounding, creative and reflective PlayShop activities, and supported community check-ins designed to reduce isolation and build connection.
Sessions will be trauma-informed and accessible, with optional camera use, clear boundaries, and adaptations for neurodivergent participants. Where appropriate, sessions will be recorded and uploaded to a secure digital hub so participants can access support at a time and pace that suits their wellbeing. Participants will also be able to download simple wellbeing tools and resources.
Funding from Awards for All will support a six-month pilot of Q-Time, enabling Queerwell to test and refine this national digital offer while ensuring it is safe, inclusive, and professionally delivered.
Why is this project needed?
There is a clear gap for accessible, preventative, community-based digital support that prioritises human connection rather than self-guided apps or generic wellbeing content.
This project responds directly to that gap by providing live, facilitated, LGBTQ+-affirming support at a critical time, helping to prevent mental health issues from escalating into crisis.
