#MHAW26 #QUEERWELL #TAKEACTION
Why Queerwell is the action we need to take together:
It’s hard to put into words how I feel each week after a session at Queerwell Sunday Sanctuary wellness centre. Emotional, exhausted, but most of all thankful - that people who feel isolated and are battling poor mental have had somewhere to come, feel a sense of belonging and talk.
This week online we held resilience and wellbeing workshops. Today we’ve offered craft workshops and clowning workshops today - all focused on helping Queerfolk restore and improve their mental health.
“If I hadn’t found a Queerwell postcard in Gays the Word bookshop I would still be isolated in my flat facing my depressive thoughts.”
Queerwell Sunday Sanctuary Wellness Centre Visitor
“I volunteered to help at Sunday Sanctuary to teach fibre crafts to Sanctuary visitors. My queer child and their trans & queer friends have always found crafting in my wool shop gives them a safe place to chat and be themselves.”
